Civic Engagement Program’s second annual campus clean up set for May 23

Have you ever wanted to improve the physical grounds of the Southern Oregon University campus, but never known where to start or who to talk to?

The Civic Engagement Program’s second annual campus clean up event on Friday, May 23 might be just the thing for you.

The purpose of the event is to prepare the campus for Commencement on June 15.  According to the Civic Engagement Program’s webpage, students and volunteers will be spending two hours from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. planting flowers, spreading mulch and performing general up-keep around campus. Participants will meet in the courtyard of the Stevenson Union before 1 p.m.

Snacks and beverages will be provided to those who participate along with a promotional T-shirt. To register, fill out the form on the program’s website.
