Classical saxophonist and Southern Oregon University alum Brent Weber is set to perform at the SOU Music Recital Hall on Monday, October 21at 7:30 p.m. Weber and clarinetist Mark Gallagher make up the musical group Duo Vif and cover everything from more historical artists like Georg Philip Telemann and Francis Poulenc to contemporary musicians like Roshanne Etezady and Gregory Wanamaker.
Weber received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music at SOU, and completed his Master’s Degree in the same field at the University of Georgia. He has spent time teaching saxophone at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu China and is currently teaching applied saxophone and bassoon at Frostburg State University in Western Maryland.
