Pass the Cushman: The Unsolved Mystery of SOU’s Rec-Center

What follows is a column and video production by student writer/satirist Connor Cushman. The views do not represent the editorial opinions or content of the Siskiyou or Southern Oregon University. We present it to you as humor and satire.

As of McNeal’s demolition and the construction taking place inside the stadium gym, students at Southern Oregon University have essentially been left without a place to work out. Although Diamond Hall is currently being used as a stand in recreation center, students are generally misinformed or entirely uninformed as to the location of the gym. This paired with skepticism as to whether Diamond can house the fitness needs of the student body begs the question: should we be paying mandatory rec-center fees considering SOU, on a functional basis, doesn’t have a rec-center for the student body?
