Volleyball records fourth straight win

The Southern Oregon volleyball team recorded its fourth straight win in a sweep against Oregon Tech in three sets on Friday.

The Raiders are now 13-1 in conference play and 16-3 overall while Oregon Tech is 3-11 in conference and 11-15 overall.

Southern Oregon currently is sitting at second in the conference standings having played a game less than title rival College of Idaho.

The Raiders continued their impressive run by simply dominating on offense and defense.

Outside hitter Sarah Holgen paced the Raiders as she recorded 14 kills and 15 digs.

Holgen was followed by Megan Bartling who recorded 10 kills, no errors and a .556 attack percentage.

Setter Lindsey Stone recorded a match high 35 assists for the night while Libero Becky Johnstone had 22 digs.

On defense, the Raiders limited Oregon Tech 28 kills while forcing 26 errors. Lauren Swetland recorded seven blocks to lead the Raiders’ defensive efforts.

Next up for Southern Oregon are a pair of road games against Corban and Northwest Christian this coming Friday and Saturday.
