Southern Oregon University remained no. 18 in last Tuesday’s NAIA Volleyball Poll.

The Raiders, who have been ranked as high as no. 13 this year earned 291 total points to tie for the 18th spot with Missouri Baptist.

“To be honest the ranking doesn’t mean a whole lot to our team,” said head coach Josh Rohlfing of the high ranking, “The rankings will take care of themselves. It isn’t a focus with us and as long as we continue to improve and work forward, we will be at the level we need to be to make a run at the national tournament.”

“Our goals are to be the best we can be at the end of the year,” said Rohlfing, “We hope to be in contention for a National Championship, but that is putting the cart before the horse. It is imperative for us to take each match and play in the moment.”

16-0 Texas at Brownsville remained no. 1 in the rankings with all 23 first place votes and 653 total points. The next poll will be announced on Oct. 4.
