The Department of Language, Literature, and Philosophy at Southern Oregon University will be hosting their annual International Poetry Night on Thursday, Mar. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Meese Auditorium in SOU’s Art Building. All are invited to attend.
The event, entitled “Poetry of Protest,” is a celebration of poetry and literature from around the world. Poems will be presented in Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, German, and American Sign Language, among others. The pieces will first be recited in their native tongue, and then translated into English.
There will also be food at the event, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
