Chris Dudley has conceded the race for governor to John Kitzhaber.
As numbers continue to roll in, Kitzhaber’s lead has been widening over Republican Chris Dudley as the counting continues. Â The race has been neck-in-neck all night and day, with leads changing hands and speculation flying.
The Oregonian announced Kitzhaber as the winner at around 7 p.m. Wednesday, and soon afterwards Chris Dudley made his announcement, conceding the governorship to former governor John Kitzhaber.
Kitzhaber is the only Oregonian ever to Â be elected to the state’s highest office three times. Here’s a link to the final tallies.
