This Friday the 25th Epic Productions is hosting a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the basement of the Student Union. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., when there will be a run down and explanation of the event for first-timers. Prop bags will be handed out for audience participation, and the movie will start at 8.
When Rocky is revealed in the film the movie will be paused, and the event will turn into a Halloween fashion show and costume contest. Everyone is invited to don their Halloween costume early, or to wear their favorite Rocky Horror inspired costume and strut their stuff on a stage and cat walk. The event will be judged by staff from the Queer Resource Center, with prizes from Renaissance Rose and Love Revolution awarded to best costumes. For those of you who desire a quieter atmosphere, the QRC will also be open the entire time the activities are taking place.
Admission is free and there will be some snacks provided. The Food Pantry will also be doing a food drive, so bring your non-perishable food items, and show up for a lot of fun.
