The Southern Oregon football team managed to snap a six game losing streak by defeating Menlo 24-13 this Saturday.

The win leaves the Raiders sitting at 3-6 overall so far this season.

Southern Oregon was playing without several of their regular starters because of disciplinary action however several newcomers did more than enough to give the Raiders a victory.

Freshmen CJ Valdivia and Chris Kammel were the stars of the night.

Starting in his first collegiate game, quarterback Kammel quickly made his mark by connecting with Danny Keenan for a touchdown pass over 60 yards.

Valdivia, who also saw collegiate time for the first time, was equally impressive as he rushed for over 100 yards and grabbed a touchdown.

An interception touchdown return by James Wheeler and a 28-yard field goal by Tyler Crowley completed the scoring for the Raiders.

Southern Oregon’s final game of the season will be on the road when they face Northwestern Oklahoma State on 13 November
