The Southern Oregon men’s basketball team romped to a 93-69 victory over a visiting CSU Maritime side this Sunday at the McNeal Pavilion.
It was a heartening performance from a Raider side fresh off of a 90-58 loss the NCAA Division I Gonzaga this past Friday.
The Raiders made it difficult for the visitors to find a steady tempo as Southern Oregon’s quick passing and solid defensive strategy proved difficult to handle.
Southern Oregon grabbed 40 total rebounds on the night with Kellen Hawley leading all players with 11.
The Raiders were also deadly on offense as they shot for 48 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from the three-point line and 84 percent from the free-throw line.
Southern Oregon had five players record double-digits with Joe White leading all scorers with 20-points. Teammate Drew Herrera came just behind with 17-points while Kyle Tedder finished with 15-points. Jordan Highland and Hawley each recorded 10-points for the Raiders.
