Southern Oregon senior Dennis Olstedt has been named the Cascade Conference Red Lion Track Athlete of the Week.
The honor comes on the heels of an impressive weekend at the Pacific Twilight in Forest Grove.
Olstedt earned an NAIA “A” standard mark in the 400 hurdles with an event winning time of 53.66. The time is the fastest in the conference this year and ranks fourth all-time at SOU.
Olstedt also teamed with Alex Waroff, Brandon Ritchie and Jonz Olander to earn a “B” standard time in the 4×400 relay. The time of 3:16.60 broke the meet record and is the second fastest time in school history.
The Raiders are now off until next week’s Cascade Conference Championships.
