The Southern Oregon University Women’s Resource Center will be putting on their annual “That Takes Ovaries” event from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. next Wednesday in the Bellview Grange in Ashland.
Andrea Gibson, an award-winning poet and activist, will be performing for the first hour. After Gibson’s performance there will be an open mic, featuring performances from students and community members on female empowerment. There will also be a student art exhibit and chocolate for sale.
Anyone can sign up for the open mic, but spaces are limited. Those interested are encouraged to sign up beforehand in the WRC, located in the basement of the Stevenson Union.
