Cascade Clarinet Consort & Siskiyou Saxophone Orchestra to Perform at SOU

The Cascade Clarinet Consort & Siskiyou Saxophone Orchestra will be holding a concert at the Music Recital Hall on campus on November 11, 2013 at 7:30 pm.

The concert called “Arundo Donax” will feature the songs William Tell Overture and Barnum and Bailey’s Favorite, among others, and will appeal to any music lovers. The Siskiyou Saxophone Orchestra is under the direction of Rhett Bender, Professor of Music at SOU, and is composed of students, faculty, and staff of the university who arrange, compose, and commission music of all styles and musical periods. The SSO have performed at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Britt Festival, Oregon Music Educators’ Conference and the KTVL-Medford Channel 10 Morning News. As with the SSO, the Cascade Clarinet Consort is composed of students, faculty, and staff of SOU and has performed in various cities in Oregon.

Tickets for this concert are $10 for regular admission, $5 for seniors and free for full-time students. The Performing Arts Box Office is located in the Theatre Arts Building lobby. Box office hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours prior to each performance.
