The Southern Oregon football team struggled to find its winning ways against NCAA Division I Mary Hardin-Baylor as they lost 31-10 this past Saturday at Raider Stadium.
The loss leaves the Raiders with a 2-5 record so far this season while Hardin-Baylor stayed perfect with a 6-0 record.
Southern Oregon managed to keep the game close for the first half, with both teams picking up points in the second quarter.
However, the second half saw Hardin-Baylor capitalize on several Southern Oregon errors before eventually running away with the game.
Hardin-Baylor ended the night with 480 yards of offense and forced the Southern Oregon defense to spend 21 of the 30 minutes in the second half on the field.
Kicker Tyler Crowley’s 29-yard field goal and Brandon Baldwin’s touchdown were the sole points for the Raiders.
Southern Oregon was led offensively by Vance Beach who caught seven balls for a total of 100 yards. Baldwin finished the game with 58 yards on the ground for the Raiders.
