The Southern Oregon cross country team extended its winning streak by winning both the men’s and women’s team titles.
The Raiders saw the No.1 men claim the team title with 21 points while the recently ranked No.11 women clinched their title with 41 points.
This marked the second time in a row that Southern Oregon has completely dominated an invitational by winning both titles.
For the men, David Laney once again grabbed the individual title while also setting a personal best of 24:12 for an 8k race.
Laney was followed by teammate Zach Elliot who came in third while Ryan Sorenson, Ryan Ghelfi, Dennis McCaffrey and James Johnstone also placed in the top ten.
All six runners ran the 8k race in under 25 minutes.
Meanwhile the women proved why they merit their recent No. 11 ranking by NAIA.
Anya Martinez led the team with a fourth place finish with teammate Seena Frantz finishing close behind in fifth. Laurie Stoutenburg also managed a top ten finish for the Raiders.
Southern Oregon is now off until the Cascade Conference Championships which on November 6th.
The Southern Oregon men have won the past two conference titles while the women are looking to claim their first title this year.
