SOU Lacrosse Club Keeps Busy

While Southern Oregon’s varsity teams managed to stay busy over the break, SOU’s club teams were also seeing plenty of action.

The Southern Oregon men’s lacrosse club started the break with a close 7-to-5 victory over Whitman on March 13 to start the period brightly.

It was the first time that Southern Oregon has defeated Whitman since 2006.

However, four days later the Raiders could not keep riding the high of their recent win as they fell narrowly to No. 20 North Dakota State 7-to-6 on March 17.

Despite the loss, the Raiders still managed to claim a No. 25 ranking in the first ever CollegeLax Media Poll.

Southern Oregon then finally opened their home schedule for the season when they hosted the Colorado School of Mines on March 20, recording a sound 10-to-5 victory.

The Raiders managed to build upon their first home win with another on March 28 when they defeated San Jose State 12-to-4 on March 28.

The lacrosse team will be looking to make it three home wins in a row when they host College of Idaho on Saturday in Ashland.
