For the second time this season, Southern Oregon junior Max Perry has been named the Cascade Conference Red Lion Field Athlete of the Week.
Perry’s honor comes after helping the Raiders team with Oregon Tech to win the men’s crown at the annual Oregon/California Border Clash in Klamath Falls.
Perry put on a show, winning three throwing events, including two of them with NAIA “A” qualifying throws.
Perry won the shot put with an NAIA “A” standard and personal best throw of 52-07.50. Perry also earned an “A” mark with his victory in the hammer with a throw of 177-09, which ranks fourth all-time in school history. His winning throw of 151-10 in the discus was also a personal best.
Perry also won the honor back on April 11.
