SOU Lacrosse Season Ends

The Southern Oregon Men’s Lacrosse Club could not snap a recent losing streak as they fell in the first round of the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacross League Playoffs to Whitman 10-4.

The win sees Whitman advance to the next round of the Division II playoffs where they will face Western Oregon on May 7.

Other match ups in the next round for Division II include Gonzaga against Portland with the winner of each match to face each other the following day.

For the Raiders, the loss ends their season in which they finished with a 7-6 overall record.

For the PNCLL Division I playoffs, both Oregon State and University of Oregon advanced and will face each other on May 7.

Simon Fraser v. Idaho will be the other playoff that same day while the winner of each match will play each other on May 8.

The Raiders will now have to wait until next season to have another shot at success in the post-season but this season left the team with plenty to be proud of.

Southern Oregon managed to knock off several top opponents as well as ranked 25th in the nation by the CollegeLAX Media Poll.
