The Southern Oregon Men’s Lacrosse team capped off their road trip this weekend with two convincing victories to extend their win streak to three, also clinching them a spot in the Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League Playoffs.
The Raiders defeated College of Idaho 22-to-10, thanks to the offensive fire power of Sophomore Attack Tom Halley’s 7 goals, along with Senior Midfielder Patrick Verdun’s 5 goals.
Freshman goalie Killian Spicer-Torreblanca contributed with 16 saves to stop the Yotes’ offensive surge to help earn the Raiders their second league win as well as a PNCLL playoff spot.
They followed up with another impressive 16-to-7 victory over Central Washington, capping off the road trip leaving the 2-1, 8-3 overall, Raiders with a key rivalry game against Western Oregon on April 21.
The Raiders look to avenge last season’s 15-to-4 loss to the Wolves’, that lead them to a three game losing streak to end the 2011 season in the first round of the PNCLL playoffs in a 10-to-4 loss to the Whitman College Missionaries.
