It’s no secret that in this small college town we have plenty of solid musical acts come through. You can take one look at a telephone pole out here in Ashland and easily observe that it has collected more staples then an office depot. This article is to highlight one of the many awesome concerts always coming through our town. Below is one that I would recommend for everybody who has the means to see it.

Great Wilderness is playing with Kites and Crowns at the Caldera Tap House on Monday, October 14th at 9pm (No minors permitted).

To any fans of Indie music or the new wave of folk rock, I would strongly recommend dropping by this show and at least catching a quick drink. Folk pop act Great Wilderness is known for their soft experimental music. The music they play makes you feel as if you’re stepping into a different world. All of the band’s songs have a strong dream like quality hard to find in modern music, a bit reminiscent of bands from the 1960’s. Ashland, Oregon locals Kites and Crows will also play in this show, adding their soulful three men act to the mix. Their music comes with a force far more energetic than a typical folk act. Blues, country, folk, and indie music are all blended masterfully in their act.  It’s an easy trip to anybody heading out there, only a mile and a half off campus at 31 Water Street. It’s going to be an awesome concert.
